What beats a summer night at the ole ballpark? For us at Fairway of the Carolinas, not much – especially when we’re all there together. The entire Fairway of the Carolinas team – and our families – convened at Truist Field in Uptown Charlotte on Saturday, August 28 for a night of food, fun, laughter and entertainment all centered around Charlotte Knights baseball.

The purpose of this gathering was simple: for us to spend time with our work friends and co-workers outside of the traditional office environment. But who won the game? And how many of us showed up? Most importantly, what did we eat? You’ll find the answers below.

‘A great time’

The entire Fairway of the Carolinas contingency at Truist Field consisted of 99 people. This number included not only our teammates but the members of their families. We watched the baseball game, which featured the Knights and the Durham Bulls, from the Rooftop Party Zone of the stadium.

Thankfully, we couldn’t have picked better weather for the just-after-7 p.m. game time. It was warm, clear, sunny, and even produced a light breeze once the sun went down. On the menu for Team Fairway was hot dogs, hamburgers, bratwurst and a mix of beverages.

“Thank you to those who put this event together!” Fairway of the Carolinas Mortgage Planner Anthony Ferretti said. “My family had a great time. We love spending time with our Fairway family.”

‘So much fun’

Thankfully, we witnessed the Knights prevailing in a 5-4 decision that saw the home team rip off all five of their runs in the bottom half of the final inning. But Charlotte’s minor league affiliate of Major League Baseball’s Chicago White Sox wasn’t the only big winner on this night. We all were.

“The Knights game was so much fun!” Fairway of the Carolinas Operations Manager Hannah Heaslet said. “I always love seeing everyone’s family. The Knights won, and the fireworks at the end were epic. I truly had the most fun seeing everyone and catching up with them. Great event, for sure.”
