Looking forward to ringing in the new year but not sure what to do? Charlotte and surrounding areas have plenty of fun-filled events designed to help you wrap up 2021 and kick off 2022 in style. Find out what’s happening in and around the Queen City so you won’t miss out on a good time.

If You’re Staying In

Maybe you’re not really the going out type, or maybe you are but just don’t want to go anywhere this year. Either way, there is still plenty of fun to be had while staying home. Here are three things you can do to ring in the new year in the comfort of your own home.

1) Play Games

Who doesn’t love a fun game night? Pick out your favorite board game and a friend (or a few) and play until the clock strikes midnight! Or you can check out online multiplayer games and have your friends join in from wherever they may be! One such example is Drunk Pirate, an online drinking game you can play with your friends, or they will connect you with other players. You can check it out here.

2) Charcuterie and Cocktails

Charcuterie is all the rage right now, so why not incorporate it into your Stay-At-Home plans? Try your hand at making one yourself for an extra challenge, or you can purchase one from several retailers in the Charlotte are, but be advised you do typically have to place these orders a few days in advance. Pair your charcuterie spread with a fun cocktail or mocktail, and you have yourself a festive evening snack to pass the time until the clock strikes 12!

3) Make Some Resolutions

It’s not the new year without some resolutions, so if you’re planning on staying in, maybe take some time to reflect on the highs and lows of 2021, and set some goals for 2022! Maybe you’d like to learn a new hobby, take a big trip, or advance your career at work? Whatever you decide though, just remember to make an attainable plan to maximize your chances at reaching that goal.

If You’re Going Out
